More than 40 ministers of higher education from Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean are meeting today in Paris to adopt a declaration opening the way for university and scientific cooperation across the three regions. The conference is organised jointly by France, which now holds the presidency of the European Union, and Brazil, which holds the presidency of Mercosur, the Latin American equivalent of the EU.
