Overtime fears

Forty-one per cent of men and 20 per cent of women work overtime in Britain, according to the world's largest ever study of overtime. Bob Hart and David Bell of Stirling University have found that levels of overtime are "disturbingly high" in safety sensitive sectors such as transport, construction and manufacturing. The work was funded by the Economic and Social Research Council.
