Human Rights Watch has renewed pressure on the Malaysian government to launch an independent investigation into last month's dismissal of University of Malaya professor Chandra Muzaffar. Professor Muzaffar's support for former deputy premier Anwar Ibrahim, currently on trial, is believed to be the primary reason for his dismissal.
