John Denham, Secretary of State for Innovation, Universities and Skills, has announced that the Government is to fund 15,000 new places on foundation degree courses with the backing of employers. Speaking at the Confederation of British Industry's skills summit last week, he added: "We want... more employers to see the value to business and their employees of investing in higher-level skills."
