LSE backs off big risefor postgrads

The London School of Economics has given final approval to a 3.5 per cent increase in postgraduate tuition fees. Last Friday, a sub-committee of the LSE's standing committee finally approved a proposal by academics to increase fees for about 700 postgraduate students, mainly on MScs. Academics had backed down on their original proposal for a 30 per cent increase over three years.
