Lottery puts East Anglia in the swim

The University of East Anglia has won a Pounds 14.6 million grant from the National Lottery, double the next largest amount awarded in higher education, to fund its planned Pounds 17.6 million sports complex. The complex, planned to open in the year 2000, will include an Olympic-sized swimming pool and a "human performance laboratory".
