China claims academic is spy
China has accused a Hong Kong-based academic of spying for Taiwan. Li Shaomin, professor of business studies at Hong Kong's City University, is originally from China but has been a US citizen for six years.

Anti-gay college cleared by Canadian court
Canada's Supreme Court has ruled that Trinity Western University, a private Christian university, was within its rights when it banned its teacher education students from homosexual activity. A decision by British Columbia accreditation agency to refuse teaching certificates to TWU graduates because of the university's allegedly discriminatory practices was wrong, the court said.
