King of spin Max donates Pounds 25,000

Max Clifford, show business publicist and public relations guru, has made a Pounds 25,000 benefaction to Bournemouth University to help disabled students access media studies courses. He will also offer his services as a guest lecturer in the finer arts of spin-doctoring.

Mr Clifford's daughter Louise, who uses a wheelchair as a sufferer from rheumatoid arthritis, graduated with a communications studies degree from Bournemouth in 1998. The trust will be named after her.

"Basically I'm putting something back," said Mr Clifford.
