Graduates add at least £1 billion a year to the UK economy - a fact apparently appreciated by employers, who recruited 15.5 per cent more of them this year. Research conducted for the Association of Graduate Recruiters found that member companies offered 13,924 vacancies to graduates leaving university this summer, compared with 12,057 last year.
