Essex University's links with Greece -- which sends it more overseas students, 328, than any other country -- have been reinforced by the appointment of a lecturer to run modern Greek courses. Katerina Glezou is sponsored by the Greek government for a five-year appointment during which she will design courses and components for students in languages, linguistics, European studies and philosophy and explore the possibility of an undergraduate option on contemporary Greek society.
