Edge Hill University - Taking the plunge in Mandarin

Some British students will have the opportunity to become immersed in Mandarin after their university sealed an official partnership with a Chinese institution. Edge Hill University and South China University of Technology are joining forces to offer 10 scholarships for students to travel to Guangzhou for a four-week immersion programme in Mandarin. Iona Huang, associate head of the Centre for International Education at Edge Hill, said that the students chosen to participate in the programme "must display an open-minded, positive, interactive approach because they will become ambassadors for Edge Hill's Chinese studies programmes".
