Dexter: industry must play part in genetic data

Industry must be closely involved with the United Kingdom's genetic database - if not, there is no point building it, according to Mike Dexter, director of the Wellcome Trust.

But, giving evidence to the House of Lords Science and Technology committee this week, Dr Dexter said that the proposed database must be under public custodianship.
