Colourful toads in Hull

Colourful toads have been popping up around Hull to help commemorate the 25th anniversary of the death of the poet Philip Larkin.

"Larkin with Toads" is a 10-week public art event that nods to his works Toads (1955) and Toads Revisited (1962). The toads form one part of Larkin 25, a year-long event spearheaded by the University of Hull in honour of its former librarian.
