The Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council has signed an agreement with the Department of Health to help boost co-operation between the two in areas of joint interest in the medical sciences. The EPSRC says that research areas already indentified include imaging, sensors, biomaterials, nanotechnology and information technology.
