One in three patients in doctors' surgeries in north and west Belfast shows signs of psychiatric problems, says a report from Ulster University's primary care research group.
Dorothy Whittington and Kathryn Thompson found mental health problems affected 33 per cent of people in the city's most troubled areas. This is 50 per cent higher than the Northern Ireland figure and twice the United Kingdom rate.
