Anglia Polytechnic University has announced that David Tidmarsh will take over from vice-chancellor Michael Malone-Lee when he retires next autumn. Professor Tidmarsh is pro vice-chancellor of the University of Central England and built his academic reputation in automotive engineering, having worked at Sheffield Hallam University and with the Rover Group.
