Academia takes stand against Asylum Bill

Lecturers' union Natfhe and the National Union of Students will be joining the National Assembly Against Racism in a demonstration against the government's clampdown on illegal immigrants this weekend. The government plans charges of up to Pounds 5,000 for anyone visiting the country on a visa. It is feared this will deter foreign visitors, including students.
