£2m for climate study

A £2 million initiative designed to give new direction to climate-change research was announced this week. The programme, which is funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council, starts with an assumption that climate change is unavoidable. It will examine the impact of climate change on urban areas, transport and utilities systems.
